Frequently Asked Questions
Do I keep the copyright to my book?
Yes. Wisdom Audio Bank does not acquire ownership of your original literary work. You grant a 24-month non-exclusive licence to produce and distribute the audiobook edition, and the produced recording's terms are set out fully in your agreement.
Who pays for audiobook production?
WAB funds standard professional audio production — narration, editing, mastering and quality assurance. There is no upfront production fee to you.
How do the two partnership models differ?
Under Individual Purchase, listeners buy your audiobook and you earn 60% of net sales revenue. Under Subscription Distribution, members listen as part of their subscription and you earn 70% of your audiobook's allocated share of subscription revenue, based on qualifying listening time.
How are subscription royalties calculated?
Each month, eligible net subscription revenue forms a distributable pool. Your audiobook receives a share of that pool in proportion to its qualifying listening time, and you earn 70% of that allocation. The full calculation is set out in your agreement and your monthly statements.
What happens after I submit my application?
Our team reviews your application, including your rights declaration. If it is approved, we prepare your agreement for you to review and sign online. Narration samples follow, and you approve every production stage before publication.
Can I request changes to my agreement?
Yes. Before signing, you can read the complete agreement, request clarification or ask for amendments. Your agreement only takes effect once both you and WAB have signed the same version.
